Areas of Research Interests:

His main research interests lie in high-speed data communication, advanced computing systems, artificial intelligence and applications, and new software-defined radio.

1. High-speed data communications: Implementation of high-speed modulation and demodulation, channel encoding/decoding, and high-speed data interfaces and protocols using FPGA (hardware) and CPU/GPU (software), as well as high-speed circuit design and signal integrity (SI) analysis.

2. Advanced computing systems: Embedded systems using FPGA, GPU, ARM, NPU, and DSP, as well as their heterogeneous integrated advanced embedded systems, suitable for edge computing on airborne, spaceborne, and ground-based platforms; large-scale high-performance parallel computing.

3. Artificial intelligence and applications: Target detection and recognition, image segmentation and reconstruction, encoding/decoding of images/videos, GPU/FPGA-accelerated neural networks, neural network compression (pruning, quantization, distillation, and coding), and applications of artificial intelligence in communications.

4. New software-defined radio: Analog-to-digital signal chain systems operating in wideband, zero-IF, and direct RF configurations for satellite communications, 5G communications, radar systems, and simulations; RF and baseband signal processing algorithms, spectrum monitoring, electronic reconnaissance/countermeasures, and anti-jamming communications.
