Areas of Research Interests:
Her main research interests lie in video and image processing, artificial intelligence systems, pattern recognition, and space exploration.
The specific research areas encompass: research and design of intelligent systems; detection, description, and real-time tracking of motion information; image registration and stitching technology; automated annotation and retrieval of video image sequences, and other video mining technologies; and hardware design and implementation of systems based on DSP technology.
Based on the horizontal research projects she is presiding over, her current research focuses on remote sensing image processing, human visual model analysis, target detection and tracking, aircraft attitude detection, and image fusion.

Awards and Honors:
In 2011-2012, she received funding for youth backbone teachers from the China Scholarship Council and went to the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, USA, serving as a visiting scholar for one year.
She has 1 project supported by the Young Scientists Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), and presides over 3 projects supported by the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities and 8 horizontal projects. She has participated as a principal researcher in 1 National 863 Program project, 2 NSFC projects, and 1 provincial fund project.
As the first author, she has published more than 20 SCI/EI-indexed papers in journals and international conferences, and has been granted 6 invention patents.
She won the third prize in the National Teaching Innovation Contest for College Teachers and the first prize in the National Young College Teachers' Teaching Competition in Circuit, Signal and System, and Electromagnetic Field Courses. She is in charge of a national online and offline mixed first-class course, receiving the second prize of the Teaching Achievement Award in Shaanxi Province and being recognized as a model teacher of ideological and political education in Shaanxi Province. She has presided over 6 educational reform projects and published 12 papers on educational reform and 4 textbooks, receiving a second prize in the Excellent Teaching Materials Award in Shaanxi Province.
