This program focuses on China's critical need to develop high-speed vehicles in near space. Theoretically, we start from restricting sources of communications capacity to explore the characteristics of the plasma sheath and its interaction mechanism with electromagnetic waves, as well as the theory and methods of information transmission within the plasma sheath. The goal is to lay a theoretical foundation for creating an information support system for the measurement and control, navigation, and communication of high-speed vehicles in near space.
