SHI Lei is a distinguished professor of the Huashan Scholar Program, a doctoral supervisor, and Vice Dean of the School of Aerospace Science and Technology at Xidian University.
● Head of a Shaanxi provincial science and technology innovation team (2021);
● Young and Middle-aged Science and Technology Innovation Leader in Shaanxi Province (2023);
● The 14th Shaanxi Youth Science and Technology Award (2023);
● Head of the Vehicle Measurement, Control and Communication Institute, Xidian University;
● Senior Member of the IEEE Communications Society/Radio Wave Society, Chinese Institute of Electronics, China Institute of Communications, and Chinese Society of Astronautics;

In recent years, he has presided over 30 projects, including national key projects, the 973 Program projects, and projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and Shaanxi Natural Science Fund. His main research interests lie in flight vehicle measurement, control and communication and space target detection. He has published over 60 high-level papers in authoritative journals in the multidisciplinary fields of aerospace, communications, radio waves, and plasma physics, including IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology (IEEE TVT), IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation (IEEE TAP), IEEE Transactions on Plasma Science (IEEE TPS), Aerospace Science and Technology (AST), Acta Astronautica (AA), Chinese Journal of Aeronautics (CJA), Physics of Plasmas (POP), and Plasma Science and Technology (PST). He has been granted 26 national invention patents and has received three scientific and technological awards at the provincial and ministerial levels.
