The parties discussed potential collaboration in areas such as joint talent cultivation and academic exchanges. Attending the meeting were Zhu Wei, Secretary of the CPC SAST Committee; Zhou Feng, Dean of SAST; faculty representatives; doctoral student representatives; and relevant staff. The meeting was chaired by Vice Dean Shi Lei.

Zhou Feng welcomed the delegation and provided an overview of the School's background and its efforts to expand international cooperation. Highlighting Xidian University's "Centennial XDU" international exchange initiative, he expressed the School's desire to enhance international collaboration. Zhou also recalled the existing relations established with Hungarian institutions, referencing the productive online talks held with BME in May 2024 and the successful SAST-funded student academic exchange program to Hungary this past January.

In his remarks, Zhu Wei stated that the School looks forward to deepening cooperation with universities and research institutions, including BME and BAS-SRTI, particularly in the fields of cutting-edge scientific research and nurturing high-level international talents. He emphasized the goal of forging new frontiers in collaborative exchanges.

Associate Professor László Csurgai-Horváth from BME's Department of Broadband Infocommunications and Electromagnetic Theory expressed gratitude on behalf of the delegation for the warm reception extended by the School and University. He introduced BME's profile, research areas, academic teams, degree programs, and international cooperation initiatives. Professor Rudolf Seller, Deputy Head of the Department, outlined his department's research and talent cultivation activities. He acknowledged the impressive achievements of Xidian University in the field of electronic information and conveyed his department's strong anticipation for future collaboration with XDU in talent development and joint projects.

During the talks, representatives from the three parties engaged in substantive and in-depth discussions on potential collaborative research directions, mechanisms for faculty and student exchange visits, and opportunities for joint project funding. Doctoral student representatives interacted with the visiting experts on research areas of mutual interest, exploring opportunities for future collaborative research and potential study visits.

This visit marks a solid step forward in the collaboration between SAST and leading research institutions in Central and Eastern Europe. Both sides expressed their commitment to maintaining close communication, actively implementing the consensus reached during the meeting, and identifying synergistic opportunities to enhance scientific research innovation and the quality of talent cultivation through international partnership.
